Paper and membrane, various dimensions, registers, quinternions and loose leaves.
Notes

Inventario generale, nos. 56/1 and 50/1-3), a small bundle of letters of the Contrari family almost all addressed to the podestà of Savignano, which presumably along with the few re-included in folder 8 among letters from sundry writers to persons who have not all been identified, were part of the Bazzani papers now in folder 31 b (31 ter). A few papers have been added, in the previous inventory they made up folder 30: copies of documents and instruments regarding Guiglia and Marano, as well as the "Role of Capuchins in the province of Parma ..."

2. Community Archives - Resolution book (1591-1604 - reg.)
Paper, 300x220mm, leaves [181] + loose leaves (182-184)
Notes
Cowhide ledger with leaves numbered only on the recto, in which are recorded the minutes of the sessions of Vignola community council; according to the original numbering the present leaves 8-29 were not numbered, leaf 160 is missing (mistake in numbering?) and present leaves 77-181 were not numbered in that it consists of a quinternion added presumably after the ledger had been completed; the first leaves are seriously damaged; leaves 1-2 are practically missing, leaves 3-5 eaten away at the bottom and on the sides, leaves 6-23 eaten away at the bottom; the first legible date, on leaf 3v, is June 12 1591 ( it is not possible to date the previous two sessions); the loose leaves consist of copies of the sessions of the community council in the second half of the 17th century, unfortunately they cannot be dated with precision in that the dates are not legible (in one session reference is made to the office of examination of the ex-Governor Carlo Forelli, held between 1674 and 1675; cf. folder 25).
The council, heralded by trumpets, took place in the audience room of the citadel in the presence of the governor, who at the moment of his taking office, usually presented the credentials of his appointment (not always, however, the fact was recorded); during the sessions various measures were discussed and approved concerning the interests and life of the community; periodically there was the appointment of the school master and the medical officer, and once a year there would be the election of the councillors and the assignment of offices.

5. Community Archives Miscellaneous notarial, public and private deeds (1487-1798 - envelope)
Notes
Folder consisting of three bundles: the first recorded in the Repertorio di Vignola at n. 6, together with deeds which are at present mainly kept in folder 6, and in the Inventario generale at n. 51 (file containing letters, proceedings and other things of the Sega mill, dispute for waters with Marano and Campiglio
) regards the dispute that arose between the communities of Marano, Vignola and Campiglio, concerning the diversion of the waters of the Panaro for providing power to the mills, and various negotiations and agreements signed to solve the dispute: part of the documentation was collected for the first time in 1580 for the use of the representative of Vignola Severo Franchini, sent to Ferrara to negotiate the question of the Panaro waters, as can be seen from the notes in the margins of several documents. The second bundle includes documentation on controlled prices for meat and crops; finally the third is a collection of notorial, public and private deeds and documents of sundry origin, which unfortunately cannot always be identified with certainty, although it seems credible that some come from the Marquisate Archives. In this bundle are found nos. 52/6 (Deed for the construction of a public building to be used as a school: 23 March 1595), 52/15 (Correction to the border with Bologna in Verdeta wood of 7 October 1600) and 52/18 (Further information for borders with Bologna with no date) of the Inventario generale. Furthermore, worthy of note is also the presence of an inventory of the Marquisate Archives, namely: Inventario delle scritture restate in Rocca che erano in mano del già signore Benedetto Venturelli governatore generale
(1609 July 31) (Inventory of the deeds found in the Citadel which belonged to the late Benedetto Venturelli, governor-general).
